“I know they h= ave a great Arch.”

 

(On his disappointme= nt in being selected later than draft projections)

“I was a little surprised, but at the same time I am very happy right now. I’m happy = to go to St. Louis. I have connections with Coach (Scott) Linehan. = His nephew is one of my best friends. I am ready to get in there and go to work= and bring St. Louis back to the good old days of a few years ago.”

 

(On Coach Linehan’s nephew who is his friend)=

“His name is J= osh Linehan.”

 

(On his reaction to = Coach Linehan’s phone call)

“I was very ex= cited when I got the call from Coach Linehan. It has = been a long wait, but I am very excited right now. I am happy to be going there an= d of the opportunity that lies before me.”

 

(On his relationship= with Rams RB Steven Jackson)

“I talked to h= im (Jackson) when he was a junior and I was a red-shirt freshman, but we didn’t say a whole lot then since I was a young buck. I have to block= for the guy, so I’m ready to go in there and work and we are going to mak= e it happen.”

 

(On why he thinks he= was selected so late)

“Honestly, I can’t give you a straight answer. There were a couple of players who = went earlier than I expected. After they went, I was thinking that I wanted to g= o to the place where I was the best fit. Luckily, St. Louis called and I’m more than excited right now. I think it’s a great fit and we’ll see what happens.”

“I like to get= after it and I rumble a little bit. If things aren’t going the way I want t= hem to then we are going to make it happen. I like to be physical and get after= it.”
